Below, you'll find some more information about me.
                                                                                                                                                                                         -J. Pocaigue

I never thought to pursue a career, in art or personal expression. I graduated from the Class of 2021 at Mesa Ridge High School down in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I majored in Aerospace  Engineering at University of Colorado, Boulder. While born in Guam, I'm closer to being Californian, as I lived most of my life in San Diego. I've always had this interest in animation, both 3D and 2D compositions. I'm so excited to take inspiration from ARTS 2126 at UCB to gain a unique and broadened approach to engineering new solutions.

Something that I've had people confuse is that I enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve shortly after graduating High School. Having joined Boulder's Reserve Officer Training Corps(ROTC) ,this 'technically' qualifies me to the Air Force ROTC as a 'Prior-Enlisted' cadet. The confusing yet interesting part is that people typically associate 'Prior-Enlisted' as somone at least 22 years of age having served 4-6 years Active Duty, however I've only served going 2 years in the reserves, with a year on Active Duty status. Little interesting fact which in conclusion means I'm a really young 'Prior-Enlisted Cadet' of the AFROTC program. My biggest motivation for this course was gaining the skills and opportunity to create little 2D animated shorts as a hobby, while also having the skills to visualize graphics for my engineering coursework. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I've decided Engineering isn't my interest, so the skillset won't be used in that capacity. Please enjoy some photos of my home!
